London, Friday 13th of April. Delayed twice due to uncertainty about the player's availability and then Eshez forfeiting announcement, The Ultimate Commander is back and intends to bring you the Best of the Best of the Supreme Commander competitive aspect.

When?

This Sunday, April the 15th at 21:00 GMT (13:00 PST)

Rules

Game Type: Assassination. Annihilate your enemy’s Commander before he gets yours!
Maps Pool:

The first map to be played will be Finns Revenge. Then the loser picks the next map.
Each map can only be played once.

The players

Unconquerable: well known by the Supreme Commander Community and current TUC Champion will face Mentel best know as ‘The Terminator’ and currently nº1 of the GPGNet 1v1 Ladder.

Let's get ready to Rumble!

No one here can hide the excitement we have about this upcoming clash between these players who are ‘the cream of the cream’ of the SupCom top players.

Between today and the match, we will be collecting community’s impression and prediction on this upcoming duel.

By the way, it would be interesting to see a little more variety in maps. There could always be the standard maps like Finn's and Sentry, but why not throw in a couple less common maps as well, like Seton's Clutch and Ambush pass?

And yes, we need more maps. Why no Palms and Arctic too? If any of these players would play Cybran / UEF they would been in even more disadvantage with this map pool.

Please note that the initial maps pool was composed by only the few ones submitted by the challenger. But i do understand that for more diversity we probably need more.
Also this will also make them pre-match training more difficult becaus ethey need to train on more maps...

He is online ealier today and seems to be training though

I think Unconq has the edge, but Mentel is damn good and I've rarely seen them play each other, this should be EPIC!

Because of the short notice and that this is not a ladder map the players do not have enough time to train properly.

Things have changed: Mentel is n°1 of the 1v1 ladder and Unconquerable has not been playing that much lately.

It's going to be a close match i reckon unless Unconq is really rusty and then he would have to give his Champ belt away
