Where can you find us?
We invite you to join our official supreme commander community channel at quakenet.
Server: irc.quakenet.org
Channel: #supcom-live
Why shall I join the IRC channel? There is a ingame lobby after all!
Both the ingame lobby and the IRC channel have their PROS and CONS.
Without going too much into the details at this stage I'd like to highlight some of the advantages of joining our IRC channel:
- You can ALT+TAB from the game and either invite a friend of yours or find an additional opponent to join your game before it starts.
- Our Bot e-Live is there to answer your SupCom related questions and crawl our website to find your favourite replays.
We are planning to develop e-Live capabilities further and it will soon be able to look for replays in our database, shoutcast tournaments results, guide competitors during the tournies and much more. Stay tuned!
- You can access the IRC from almost anywhere and live chat with your SupCom mates.
How do I join your channel? I am not familiar with IRC!
First of al you need an IRC program so you can connect to Quakenet, I prefer to use mIRC but there are several IRC programs, you can download the latest version of mIRC here!
How do I install IRC?
Installing IRC is really simple, but for the beginners under the hood we made a guide so here we go.
- When you are going to install mIRC this is going to be the first screen you get, click "next". (sample image)
- Some basics about License Agreement click on "I agree" to get further. (sample image)
- Choose here your installation location, click on browse to change your install location. to get further click on "next". (sample image)
- As you noticed the program is really small in size (2.5MB) so I recommend to install the full version, click on "next". (sample image)
- Choose start menu folder, click "next". (sample image)
- Just backup the existing files (in case you had mIRC installed in the past) and set if you want a desktop icon yes or no and click on "next". (sample image)

- The setup is done now and you finished you're installation, you can check the box "Run mIRC" so we can configure the mIRC client. Click on "Finish" to startup mIRC in this case. (sample image)
